FORUM SECTIONS
About
Section
Modern innovative medical oncology relies on precision medicine, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies to treat cancer based on a patient's unique genetic profile.

Key Innovation Areas on Meeting:
Precision Oncology & Genomic Profiling: DNA sequencing pinpoints specific tumour mutations to match patients with precise, pathway-blocking drugs. Genomic sequencing allows doctors to identify mutations driving tumour growth and select targeted therapies accordingly
Immunotherapy: Checkpoint inhibitors and cellular adjustments help a patient's own immune system find and destroy cancer cells with fewer systemic toxicities. Immunotherapy stands out as one of the most promising areas in oncology because it harnesses the patient's own immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells.

Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) are a modern class of targeted cancer treatments composed of three critical components: a monoclonal antibody, a chemical linker, and a cytotoxic payload drug. They function like guided missiles to deliver potent chemotherapy directly to tumor cells while minimizing harm to healthy tissues.

Over the past decades, there has been a significant improvement in the effectiveness of treatment of cancer patients with various nosological forms. Despite this, neglect among patients with head and neck tumors, unfortunately, remains high, which in turn causes great concern.

This forum is not just dedicated to innovative approaches, but presents new challenges and tasks to us by uniting a community of various specialists (oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, etc.), whose efforts, in turn, give our patients hope for recovery.

Therefore, studying the causes of this phenomenon, as well as ways to overcome them, is definitely relevant and necessary. We hope for our fruitful cooperation, meaningful discussions and unforgettable impressions.

This session is dedicated to highlighting advanced breakthroughs in the early detection, surgical management, and systemic treatment of melanoma. Special emphasis will be placed on implementing modern dermatoscopic and molecular-genetic assays for precise diagnosis and personalized prognostication. Leading experts will share practical experience regarding the use of targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and combined modalities for complex and advanced forms of the disease.

Presentations will provide a detailed review of current sentinel lymph node biopsy protocols and surgical resection techniques. The multidisciplinary format of the session will foster effective dialogue among oncologic surgeons, dermatologists, pathologists, and radiologists. A final discussion of challenging clinical cases will help participants optimize daily practice and improve the standard of patient care.

Oncohematology is one of the most dynamic fields in modern medicine. Its current development is driven by revolutionary therapeutic approaches, ranging from CAR T-cell therapy and bispecific antibodies to personalized diagnostics based on next-generation sequencing (NGS) and measurable residual disease (MRD) monitoring, all of which have significantly improved outcomes for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

The opening of the Oncohematology Department at the Lviv Oncology Center more than a year ago marked an important step in the development of this field in the region.

The session will bring together leading Ukrainian and international experts to discuss contemporary approaches to diagnosis and treatment, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, clinical research, and future directions in oncohematology. We invite hematologists, oncologists, clinical pathologists, and all interested professionals to join this professional discussion.
